I am not a beauty or makeup expert, far from it actually. But I thought it might be nice to share some of my makeup staples with you. Just some of the things that I use pretty much on a daily basis. I know I always get a lot of inspiration from posts like these, so I thought, why not give it a try!

Starting with these two, a contouring kit and bronzer. I love bronzer, I think it’s one of the best inventions ever. It’s the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in the shade 27 Sun Dance I have a super pale skin, so it makes me instantly look more alive. And during winter, who wouldn’t want that extra glow? And of course, in summer you can go all out with it. Now the contouring kit is something I don’t use as much, but I still wanted to show it. I like this one –Maybeline New York Master Sculpt– because it isn’t too pigmented, so it’s easy to use (and not overuse).

Then, on to eyes. This Max Factor palette is my favourite palette at the moment and has been for a while (as you can probably tell). It is the Masterpiece Nude Palette 02 Golden Nudes. I bought it in summer for a bronzy look, but I kept using it all through winter.  Simply because I love the look of it.

Then mascara, I bought this one recently but I really really like it. It is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up mascara and it makes my lashes so much longer and curlier. Sidenote, it smells like cucumber which is kinda weird and kinda cool. For eyeliner, I always go for this black Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Liner. And for eyebrows this Catrice eyebrow set is my go-to. Both because they are easy to use, and last long.

I also thought these were Maybeline New York palettes were worth mentioning. I picked  them up a while ago on sale and I just adore the colours. I had the nude set already, but I really wanted a Blushed Nudes eye palette. So this pinky one is perfect! And I usually stay pretty safe with eye shadow colours, mostly nudes. So this The Rock Nudes palette was kinda out of my comfort zone but the colours are just so cool!

Lips lips lips! This is my go-to lipstick, I literally wear this every day. It’s such a beautiful nude colour and stays very well during the day. It’s the Rimmel London 56 Boho Nude from the Kate Moss collection.

And that concludes my current makeup favourites! Let me know what your go-to items are!

  1. I love all this make-up, I ac have most of it, I love that rimmel mascara especially the scandalous orange one it’s amazing, only thing I don’t have is an eye shadow pallete I’ve been meaning to get one for ages, I love the look of these

    1. I used to use the orange Rimmel mascara all the time and just recently switched to this one! And the eyeshadow palette is so worth it, such good quality! x

  2. Those palettes look dreamy, I need them!! Wishing I could pull off lipstick, for some reason it just never works on me hahaa, its so sad!

    Much love Em x (www.thetwentyyears.co.uk)

  3. i wish i can get my hands on rimmel products here. i’d love to try out rimmel’s scandaleyes mascara and liner as well as their lip products.

i have the maybelline blushed nudes too and use it on daily basis (because it’s the only rosy / pinkish tone palettes that i have lol) and although it’s not crazy pigmented (i think some colors are difficult to show up ), they’re not THAT horrifying for such an affordable price imo (though i wish it works better). i heard that the blushed nudes work better than the original nudes? hm, who knows.

my favorite go-to everyday items are the body shop fresh nude foundation (since it’s so lightweight and looks natural on the skin), the balm translucent powder (got oily T-zone!), maybelline’s bad to the bronze 24 hr eyeshadow pot and a mascara (that i constantly change. right now, i’m trying out the falsies push up from maybelline and it works great). for lips, i love the revlon super lustrous in lover’s coral which is a sheer / shine finish or the revlon balm stain in honey douce. i don’t use bronzer or highlight though because i don’t like to appear tan haha

    1. I agree with you about the Maybeline palettes, I love the colours but I prefer the pigmentation of MaxFactor palettes. I have heard so much about Revlon lip balms I have to give them a try! Thanks for your lovely comment! x

  4. Those Maybelline palettes are so good! I’ve used the nude one before, and it’s a really nice neutral set. Also, I’m loving your little succulent!

  5. Ha I have that mascara too and think the same about the scent! Tbh all the contours I’ve tried are always too pigmented and it ends up loooking way too harsh, this one sounds easier to work with though!
