Yes, autumn has been going on in full swing on my blog for a while now. But the other day we went on our first real autumn walk. Still, the leaves are not really going all the pretty colours yet, and I couldn’t find any chestnuts yet. But the weather was so nice, we just couldn’t resist!
We did manage to find lots of acorns, pinecones, berries and mushrooms! Sadly though, I failed my quest to find a red and white mushroom. Better luck next time!
The forest looked so lovely. Still green but you could feel autumn stepping in. It was not too cold and not too warm, so just an oversized jumper was perfect. And of course I took the opportunity to wear a beanie.
A walk through the woods isn’t complete without a hot chocolate! So we stopped at a cabin for some drinks and “bitterballen” (which, if you don’t know, is a typical Dutch snack). I can’t wait for the leaves to properly start falling. And for the beautiful yellow, orange and red colours of autumn. We made a deal to ourselves to go out for walks in nature more often.
